1ère & Terminale History/Geography
The Anglophone Section offers both the British and the American options of the French Baccalaureate (OIB).
The curricula are similar but with greater emphasis on the history and geography of the United States in the American option and the history of Britain and development issues in the British option.
The program of this second year of the OIB year is examined in a four-hour written exam – two hours in history and two hours in geography with a choice of essay and document-based questions in each and an oral.
Students work throughout the year to refine essay writing and document analysis skills, and are encouraged to read widely around the topics studied in class in order to enhance their understanding as well as to elicit a personal or original response to the subject.
