January 2009
Our trip, by Alice, 5ème
What to start with? 5 amazing days to describe in a paragraph or so. First, Fun: from weird movies and great times in the bus to going under mines or getting aboard a ferry, going through a whole afternoon of shopping at Leamington's Hall!
Then, I've got to say, learning a bit (only a bit ;-). Experiencing each and every single moment of William Shakespeare's Life and family, finding out about Coventry's Cathedrals, Leamington Spa's baths, visiting a live museum of what it was like to live in ''the Black Country''. 5 days of adventure, of discoveries, of jokes, of visits, of laughs. Sure it was cold and we ate butter and cheese sandwiches everyday at lunch, but we also admired the Royal Shakespeare Company playing Romeo & Juliet and had such an amazing time.
After a long day of learning, a nice dinner with our sweet host families and quickly off to bed! After a good night's sleep, a great time seeing our friends back in the bus gossiping about how awesome, strange, different or amazing England really was!
A fun, interesting, wonderful, amazing time. Great teachers, new things to know about. A whole week of all that. All that it takes to have a wonderful trip!
