Exams

The examinations prepared for in the Anglophone Section of the CSI include:

  • Option International du Brevet des Collèges:

    A compulsory exam taken in English, Maths and Social Sciences at the end of 3ème but which  includes continuous assessment in 3ème in most subjects.

  • GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education):

Taken in 2de after preparation in both 3ème and 2de in English Language and Literature.
Recognised by English-speaking higher education institutions, particularly in the United Kingdom.

  • The International Option to the French Baccalauréat (OIB):

    Taken at the end of Terminale; determines acceptance into higher education institutions world-wide.

  • SAT's (College Board):

    The section is a test centre for the SAT Reasoning and Subject tests, though does not prepare students in class for them.

    Test sessions are usually in October, December and January.


    The section is justifiably proud of the performance of our pupils.
