Elected APESA Board Members 2011-12

Following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on October 17th 2011, the APESA board is constituted as follows:

Executive Members

 

Nathalie Perrin, President

Nathalie is French and comes from Lyon. Married to Vincent, she has 3 children, two of whom are in the Anglophone section : Estéban in 4ème and Salomé in 5ème. Her eldest son Achille graduated from the CSI in June 2011. She spent more than 5 years in Boston with her family, returning to Lyon in 2004 and has been a board member since that date. Her professional background is International Marketing and she has worked for consumer products companies in cosmetic and food industries. Following a career break due to expatriation she decided to become a fundraising consultant and co-founded a consulting company for non-profit institutions last year.

Julia Jausseme, Vice President

Julia is British and joined the board in 2009. Her husband is French and they have 2 sons, the elder of whom is in 1eS at the CSI. She has a degree in Chemical Engineering and worked in the Oil industry for 24 years. Prior to moving to Lyon, she lived in London, Paris and Seoul and was on the parent board of the Lycée Français in Seoul, and the SIS in Sevres.

 

Frédérique Di Tullio, Treasurer

Frédérique was born in Lyon to an Italian Father and a French mother, and is herself mother of 2 children, aged  6 and 3 years old, who also have Irish origins. She lived part of her life in Italy and graduated in French language and literary studies from the University of Bologna. She founded, and has run for over ten years, her own language school specialising in French courses for foreign visitors. She joined the Apesa board in 2010.

Ann Leullier, Secretary

Ann was born in London and is half English, half French, and mother of 3 children aged between 2 and 9 years old. She lived in Germany for 15 years before moving to Lyon in 2008, joining the APESA board the same year. She has a degree in Modern Languages and worked for both McDonald's Corporation and then SAP as a marketing assistant. She is now a dedicated mum, enjoying managing a medium-sized family-run business in her spare time!

Ordinary Members

 

Alice Dauphin-Barollier

Alice is French and joined the board in 2010. She has three children, two of whom are the CSI. She spent a total of seven years in Washington DC. A Law graduate from Georgetown University and Paris Sorbonne and a member of both the New York and the Lyon Bar, Alice runs her own law firm in Lyon. 

Laetitia Fodor

Laetitia is French, married with 3 children, and has 2 sons are in the anglophone section of the CSI.
 She has a Bachelor's degree in History from the university of Paris and spent 16 years in the USA, taking a Masters in Mass Communication at Boston University, working for 4 years at Harvard University and spending 7 years on the Campus of Dartmouth College, where she did research for a project of 3 films linked to the Menil Collection, Houston, Texas. She is currently researching for a film on the Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas. She joined the board in 2009.

 

Fidelia Ibekwe San Juan

Fidelia was born in Nigeria where she completed a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures. She moved to France to do a Masters in Contemporary Literatures and a PhD in Information & Communication Sciences followed by 2 years in the US as a Visiting Research Scholar at the College of Information Science & Technology, Drexel (Philadelphia). She is currently a Professor at Jean Moulin University, Lyon3. She joined the board in 2010 and, having experience in international mobility, hopes to assist the APESA in University counselling as well as other issues.

Brian Priddy, Vice Treasurer

Brian was born in Salinas, California and has lived in Lyon for 20 years. He joined the APESA board in 2010 and also helps to organise the annual INTERSEC parents football tournament. His wife Elisabeth volunteers in the Anglophone Library; they have a son in Terminal ES and a daughter in 3eme.

 

Karin Rovere Triviere

Karin is half Belgian, half Australian and grew up in the UK.  Her husband is French and their daughter is in 5eme at the CSI. After graduating from Birmingham Uni (UK) with a degree in History she worked in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and France in the Financial Services sector, Private Equity and ran her own business for 5 years.  Happily settled in Lyon since moving there in 2010, she is currently Community Manager for an online professional network. She joined the APESA board in October 2011.

Anne-Monique Savoye, Vice Secretary

Anne-Monique is Australian, born in Melbourne to an American Father and a French mother. She joined the APESA board in October 2011 and has two daughters, aged 7 and 10. She spent her school years living alternately in Australia and France, and graduated in Economics (Nanterre University) and Japanese language (INALCO, Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales). She settled in Lyon twelve years ago and worked for the Japan External Trade Organization before joining a major pharmaceutical company in 2006 as assistant to the Vice President, Strategic Marketing. She is now assistant to the President of the company.

Angus Thomson

Angus Thomson came to Lyon 3 years ago from Australia via Tokyo (8 years) and Paris (4 years). He was elected to the board in October 2011 and has two daughters: Julia who started at the CSI this year in CP, and Clara who is 4 years old. Both do judo, keeping up a familly tradition of martial arts practice. He currently works for a major pharmaceutical company in the Vaccination Policy and Advocacy department, a scientist among doctors & scientists, trying to convince them to use normal language when talking to the world.

James Vernon

James relocated to Lyon from the UK with his family in 2011, and joined the APESA board in October 2011. He is married to an American and they have three children who joined CSI in CM2. James' professional experience is in technology and finance. Most recently he has served as Chief Operating Officer for an investment management company which he co-founded in 2002. Before moving to Lyon he served for 5 years on the board of governors of Riverhead Infants School.
